AMD launches app store, emulator for Android

Generally known for its processors and GPUs, AMD has launched an app store for Windows systems powered by its chips – including Android apps. Called AppZone, the portal mainly comprises of applications and games optimised for systems running AMD’s hardware. The chip maker has also launched AMD AppZone Player, which lets you run Android apps on a Windows system, in association with BlueStacks.
