Firefox 5 Beta Also Available for the Android Market

Mozilla has really been picking up the pace in the browser market. Their Firefox 5 Beta version had already hit desktop browsers about two days ago and now the browser is available for Android users, as well.

While the fact is that it’s not been too long since Firefox 4 came in, but then this version is still in the Beta stages. A final build should be releasing soon, but not very soon. Also, beta stages of the Firefox browser will be directly found on the Android Market. So you won’t have to download it from the Mozilla site and then load it on your Android handset.

Enhanced look and feel

With this new browser you should find some enhancements and features in comparison to the actual stable Firefox for Android, but there’s a high likelihood that it will crash a couple of times. According to IntoMobile, here’s a list of improvements that has been found on Firefox 5 Beta for Android:

• Improved page load speed, especially on 3G networks
• Improved panning responsiveness
• Added support for the Do-Not-Track header
• Improved compatibility with SwiftKey keyboard
• Images downloaded to the Android Gallery are now immediately visible
• Improved color conversion enabling better display of images and video
• Dialog prompts better match default Android styling
• Added support for over six menu items in the Android Menu
• Resolved an error encountered when trying to load web pages without an active Internet connection
