Any avid user of Gmail on Android will tell you how much they love this app, but also how much they hate it for draining their battery. Allowing Gmail to fetch new mail every hour can take a toll on your battery life and for some this is a necessity. Google's heard you out and have launched a new version of the app, 2.3.5, which adds a bunch of new features and overall performance improvements. The Marketplace already has the new version so simply go ahead and update it from your phone. Gmail just got better
