It’s now on your PC, phone, and on the web; with this new application, Microsoft OneNote comes to Android. If you’re still unaware about OneNote, then let us explain. Basically Microsoft OneNote Mobile for Android is a note-taking app for capturing all ideas and to-dos on the go, and obviously it’s brought to you by Microsoft Office. With this application you can create notes with text, pictures, and bullets and make and manage to-do lists with checkboxes. You can also keep your notes in sync using the Microsoft SkyDrive online storage to access, edit and manage them from your PC or almost any web browser. The notes will be made available at www.skydrive.com.
OneNote comes to Android
With the free version of OneNote Mobile for Android you can access, create and edit up to 500 notes. Once you reach this limit you can still view, delete, and sync your notes. To continue taking and editing notes, you need to upgrade OneNote Mobile for Android to unlimited use through an in-app purchase. It’s not entirely free, you see.
Also, it has a few requirements for you and your smartphone:

So, there are a few limitations, as compared to your other free note taking applications. But, it’s important to note that if you have a Windows PC and are a keen note jotter, you’ll have access to your notes throughout all your devices. For new users, however, registration, syncing and the whole signing up procedure might just be a deal breaker. It’s directly competing with Evernote and other popular note making applications. Also, it’s important to note that there’s no widget support, yet.
Which is your favourite note taking application? Let us know in the comments section below. |
