Imagine getting stories relating to the various locations you visit as you scrolling down a map on your phone! A new app by the startup, Broadcastr lets you do just that. Broadcastr has readied a crowdsourced talk radio that customizes the content, based on the location you are in.

The startup has taken its innovative service to the obvious next level – made it an Android app. The company began its homework a little earlier. For its traction purposes, Broadcastr had partnered with organizations like The National September 11 Memorial & Museum and UNICEF. They initially introduced the app for iPhone and got popular enough to grab in 40,000 active users and collected about 8,000 stories.

Simply meaning that, every location you pass by and subsequently view it on the map; a quick detail about a story about that place doing round shows up. Users can contribute to these listings by sending in their own contributions.
