| A growing concern in online advertising is click fraud, which occurs in pay per click online advertising when either a person or an automated script is used to generate false clicks with the purpose of generating a false charge per click. In an effort to prove that click fraud is something that they are taking seriously, Google will provide its AdWords customers with information on how many times it believes their ads have been clicked on fraudulently. With the company currently embroiled in a legal case over this issue this new introduction will help its customers and give the company a clean chit. Google has decided to offer the service as a way to give advertisers a real-time view of how many clicks the company is filtering out as fraudulent. |
