Onward Mobility opens offline retail outlet for mobile applications

Onward Mobility, a mobile application and distribution company, has opened India’s first offline mobile application store called the MobiWorld. The outlet is located at Inorbit Mall, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. OM has also launched MobiGames application, which is powered by Herocraft and includes a pack of ten games. Onward Mobility also offers other apps that include MobiCop, MobiSecret, MobiCopy, MobiDND, MobiRecord and MobiProtect. This is the first offline app store catering to the consumer base of India. VAS concept stores allow end customers to experience, buy and side-load mobile apps, games and other related content. For those not in the know, Onward Mobility is a VAS development and marketing company with a business model of selling and distributing its own and third party products (applications and VAS) through retail counters across India. It has already tied-up with mobile retail stores across India in order to market mobile applications. The company has also planned to scale up the number of MobiWorld stores all over the country and has already entered into partnerships with content publishers and intends to roll out their partner’s products like Games, Entertainment, Music, Education and other content through their offline distribution channel in the next few months. |
