There’s an app for everything, and now you can go ahead and ‘Fight Back’ sexual harassment, courtesy a new smartphone app. The app comes from WhyPoll, a non-profit NGO based in New Delhi, the city infamous for the alarming rise of instances of sexual harassment. The Fight Back mobile app allows alerting family and friends with the click of a button. The SOS is sent through a text message, e-mail, Facebook, and is instantly delivered. The recipient can be tracked using GPS. The app comes across as a good initiative and it would be nice to see effective apps on similar lines. Time to Fight Back
This app is available for Android and BlackBerry devices and we hope it reaches other platforms, soon. The app can be downloaded here. |
