VoIP app Plingm gets update

The latest update for Plingm, a Swedish mobile VoIP app, focuses on simplification and localization. Registration and connection are now faster, and three additional world languages aim to make free calling even easier. 

The mobile VoIP Plingm app enables users to make free and low cost telephone calls from smartphones, iPads and iPod touch, using the WiFi or 3G network. With an impressive 4.7 star rating on the App Store, and the top ranking among apps in the Social Networking category in 13 countries, Plingm has released a new upgrade to improve user experience even further.

The new update includes significant improvements for users:

• Simple sign on: Becoming a Plingm user is now managed in seconds; only the phone number is needed for registration.
• Quick connect: Plingm calls are connected super fast.
• Localization: Three additional world languages (Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin)

Calling with Plingm, instead of a traditional mobile operator, saves consumers large sums of money, particularly on international calls. Smartphone owners that use Plingm can make free mobile calls to each other and low cost calls to other numbers.

Plingm, previously called Freephoo, lets you talk with your friends long and often. Calls to friends using Plingm are free, and calls to people without Plingm are low cost and always at a fixed rate, no surprises. 

Users can make free and unlimited calls to all Plingm users, and low cost calls with a fixed rate (0.09 Euro per minute) to mobiles and landlines worldwide. Users get 10 free Plingm outgoing minutes when they install the app for the first time.

Users can use the same account for all their devices with Plingm. Supported devices include iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices.

Plingm had launched their free mobile VoIP application in India in Jaunary this year.
