Plantronics has unveiled two new headsets at GSMA this year – the new rugged military grade Explorer 370, and the entry level Explorer 360. The latter is also available in a 360A variant, which comes bundled with a car charger.

Explorer 370
This water, dust and shock resistant headset is certified to meet the exacting MIL-STD 810 standards of the US Army's Developmental Test Command. The first Bluetooth headset to boast a 'ruggedized' design plus Plantronics' windscreen technology to effectively filter wind noise, the Explorer 370 also features QuickPair technology to simplify headset-to-mobile phone pairing. It offers up to 7 hours of talktime and up to 8 days of standby, and is equipped with a lanyard, which makes it ideal for outdoor workers and sports enthusiasts.

Explorer 360
The Explorer 360 is a lightweight, reliable and simple-to-use entry level headset. Weighing under an ounce, this compact device incorporates excellent call clarity with multiple control features, including volume, answer/end call, last number redial, and voice-activated dialing, all at the touch of a button. QuickPair technology allows easy pairing. A universal MicroUSB adapter provides quick charging that's good for up to 7 hours of talktime and 8 days of standby.

Explorer 360A
Plantronics is also bundling the Explorer 360 with a unique 'elbow' car charger that fits in most car cigarette lighters. The car charger enables a continuously charged Bluetooth headset that is always within easy reach and line-of-sight for the driver.

The Explorer 370 Bluetooth headset is priced at Rs 3,171 (MSRP $79.95), the Explorer 360 Bluetooth headset will cost around Rs 2,775 (MSRP $69.95) and the Explorer 360A Bluetooth headset with car charger would cost about Rs 3,171 (MSRP $79.95).

The three products will be available from next month at major electronic retailers, but an India launch hasn't been announced yet.
