Sony BDP-S1 Blu-ray Disc Player is Now Available for Pre-Order!

Itching to go high-def at home? Now you won't have to wait too long - Sony's Blu-ray Disc Player, the BDP-S1 - is finally available for pre-order on Amazon.com! The BDP-S1 does full HD 1080p through HDMI and also upscales current-gen DVDs to 1080p. Looks wise, the player doesn't try any stunts and sticks to a formal, clean appearance, of course with a very distinct amount of blue. All this next-gen talk would make one think that a high-res color OLED display is probably in order, but maybe I'm just being too exacting. So should you separate out $999 (around Rs. 44,455) to get this first Blu-ray Disc Player by June this year? Probably, if you don't play any games and/or can't wait till November for the PlayStation 3.
