Since the conclusion of IFA 2006 in Berlin there have been many announcements regarding Blu-Ray. One of the more intriguing ones was that TDK has developed and demonstrated a prototype single-sided Blu-Ray Recordable disk with an astonishing 200 Gigabyte capacity. Considering that currently only 25/50 GB discs are available this is truly an achievement. It is not the first time though that TDK has surprised us. The last high-capacity media record was also held by them when they announced a 100 GB capacity Blu-Ray disk. |
