OmniVision Announces New 12.6MP Sensor for Camera Phones

OmniVision Technologies Inc. a California-based corporation that designs and develops digital imaging solutions, has just announced that they have launched a 12.6MP camera sensor named OV12825, for camera phones. This sensor has capabilities to shoot videos at 1080p and at 60 frames per second with electronic image stabilization. ![]() A camera sensor with a high performance mobile imaging experience
Not only can this sensor shoot videos at 1080p but also capture still images with resolution of 4224x3000 pixels at 15 frames per second. Another notable feature of the OV12825 is pixel-shift image stabilization and fast continuous still image shooting. |
