Lik-Sang Ruled Illegal By Court

The High Court has ruled against Lik-Sang on account of breach of intellectual property rights, referring to their sale of Sony PSPs imported from Japan to European customers. Lik-Sang defended itself by stating that it operates in Hong Kong outside the court’s jurisdiction. The judge however ruled out the statement on grounds that the sale had been made in the European Economic Area without Sony’s consent, and hence was illegal. This is bad news to European gamers who were queueing up online to get their hands on a Japanese PS3, months before it releases in Europe. |
