It looks like hackers are taking on large corporations. Sony’s PlayStation Network was hacked in April and recently and Acer too was on the target list. Now, Reuters reports that Nintendo, too was hacked some weeks ago. No damage reported
Nintendo said that there was no information loss but they did confirm the incident. The same hacker group behind the Sony attack, Lulzsec was responsible for the hack-attack on Nintendo. Nintendo also said that they constantly monitor their security. Lulzsec announced the hacking attack on their Twitter account and said that they did one file and meant no harm. They also said that Nintendo had fixed it anyway. Lulzsec was also behind the hacking attacks on other sites such as Fox.com and PBS. Nintendo has been in the news for other reasons other than the hacking attack, more specifically the announcement of their next-generation gaming console at the E3 show in Las Vegas.
