Capcom Doesn't Believe in Customer Support

19 Aug, 2006, 12:00 pm IST | by Avinash Bali | Console

In case you've picked up Dead Rising for the Xbox 360 and don't have an HDTV to play it on, you're not going to be able to a read a lot of the game's text, and if you think Capcom's customer support is going to help you out, you're going to be sorely disappointed. What they will do is state the painfully obvious and make you feel really bad you couldn't afford a HDTV (just kidding). When site 1up contacted the developer to inform them about people's plight, here's what they had to say in three simple steps:
  • Adjust the settings on your TV or monitor
  • Try using component cables instead of standard composite
  • Setting the TV to widescreen ratio (even though you may not have a widescreen TV) may help in some cases.
And here, ladies and gentlemen, is another reason you should stay clear of next generation consoles till you have the appropriate funds. deadrising.jpg
