Nintendo showed off its highly awaited shooter Metroid Prime 3: Corruption at E3 today, where they blew away most of the crowd by the way the game plays and looks. By the looks of it Metroid Prime 3 is to the Wii what Gears of War was to the 360 and Killzone 2 will probably be to the PS3 – a system seller. From what was shown today we can say that the game will look spectacular and will feature a unique and diverse control system, different from most other shooters on the Wii. The player will gain access to an enemy locking system as well as manual aiming to choose from. The gameplay will revolve around the corrupt powers that Samus (the game’s protagonist) can use but with caution, overusing which will cause him to become corrupt. Although the game is slated for a August 2007 release, details about it are scarce; I’m sure that Nintendo will reveal more about the game in the coming days, so stay tuned to Tech2.com to find out more as and when we do. |
