GC 2008: Redesigned Green 360 Controller on its Way

21 Aug, 2008, 11:36 am IST | by Nikhil Singh | Console

A Limited Edition Xbox 360 controller with an “optimized” D-Pad will hit the European, Asian and Latin American markets on October 24. The redesign will basically change the way the D-Pad works, to make it more responsive and optimized for Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series.

This redesign was brought about by the numerous complaints of how the D-Pad was inadequate for many gamers. Microsoft supposedly heeded their cries and here’s what they had to say:

"We're always looking to improve products and we made these changes based on feedback from gamers.

The new limited-edition green wireless controller offers enhancements to D-pad functionality, which will add to the experience of playing games where the D-pad is the primary control mechanism."

So if you’re one of those people who prefer to use the D-Pad over the left thumb stick, you might want to get your hands on this.
