Gears of War 2 Announced

Microsoft today announced at the Game Developers Conference 2008 what most of us expected after playing through Gears of War the first time; a sequel that’s set to hit the Xbox 360 by November 2008 (expect a PC port a year later). While absolutely nothing regarding gameplay was announced or shown, Cliff Bleszinski, the game’s lead designer (who by the way we interviewed here) claims Gears 2 will "delve deeper into humanity’s struggle for survival against the nightmarish Locust Horde". He also feels that GoW 2 will turn out to be is "an even bigger, better, and more badass experience than the first game". We’ll keep you updated as and when we come across anything ourselves. |
