Remember us telling you about the PS3 jailbreak a few days ago and how it will cause some serious problems for PS3 owners? Well, it looks like it has already begun. Fudzilla reports that the PS3 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is rife with hackers and has left the game in a mess. Kill the hackers...KILL THEM ALL Hackers have not only found a way to place other players in hacked servers, but also have the ability to completely wipe out your stats. That means your hard earned Prestige rank as well as your unlock can be taken away in an instant. These particular set of problems is unique to the PS3 as the game relies on the encryption and security developed by Sony. For those affected, Activision has no ability to adjust or bring back the stats of players. It suggests that players submit a ‘grief report’ with the PlayStation network. But unless Sony has to patch the security issues and prevent the hackers from accessing the game in order to restore peace, but when that will happen is not yet known. |
