Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3) Info Trickles In

14 Jan, 2007, 12:00 pm IST | by Avinash Bali | Console

1up's recent interview with Ninja Gaiden Sigma's director, Yohsuke Hayashi, shed some light on this PS3 port of the game. For those who've joined us late, Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3 isn't a brand new game; it's a rehash of Ninja Gaiden that'll feature improved visuals in addition to new stages, enemies, weapons, moves and the ability to play as Fiend hunter, Rachael.

When questioned about the game's difficulty (Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox was an insanely tough game), here's what he had to say, "Ninja Gaiden is a game where part of the enjoyment of it comes from overcoming obstacles, so we don't want to dumb it down too much. If you think about the difficulty as a staircase, the number of steps you're going to encounter on each floor is going to be the same. But when people play the game, they get better as they go along. They improve the longer the game goes on. The problem is for the first Ninja Gaiden that first step was too high. So we want to make it easier to walk up the staircase at the start, but it'll still be challenging."
