If you dig classic games you’ll be glad to know that the original Prince of Persia (1989) has resurfaced on the Xbox Live Arcade as Prince of Persia Classic. You can buy the game for 800 Microsoft Points; but why spend so much dough when you can get the DOS version for free right? Wrong! The XBLA version of the game features some new & improved (hot) visuals, new puzzles, traps and enemies to keep you entertained, as well as two new modes – Time Attack & Survival, to keep things fresh. If you haven’t played the original and have some love for the classic side-scrolling genre, I recommend you get the game. Here’s what Jordan Mechner, the creator of the original Prince of Persia had to say: "I'm delighted that a new generation of gamers will get the chance to discover the original Prince of Persia. t's a real thrill for me to see my old game look and sound so good. I'm looking forward to playing it for the first time in 15 years and seeing if I can still win!" |
