Valve's Source to Hit the Xbox 360

Valve is making its critically acclaimed, highly modular and flexible Source engine available to Xbox 360 game developers as a middleware solution for the PC/Xbox 360 market. There are tons of high profile games out there that have used the Source engine such as Half Life 2 (duh!), the upcoming action RPG, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. This particular SDK made for the Xbox 360 will be optimized for functionality and interfacing with its Xbox Live Service; which is great news for all you Xbox 360 owners out there since you can expect a lot of awesome games coming up for your precious console. |
