AMD's FX series CPUs (Bulldozers) get Leaked Boxart

| by Sriram Gurunathan | CPUs

We told you a few days ago about AMD’s Bulldozer lineup of processors, which have been expected to launch for quite a while, would make it out by June this year. That has now been accentuated by what seems to be leaked boxart for the AMD FX series CPUs.

Folks over at Swedish website Nordic Hardware seem to have gotten their hands on some of the boxart images, and here’s what we have learnt from taking a look. First off, the familiar Black Edition moniker for high-end processors with unlocked multipliers returns. While an eight-core processor with its multipliers unlocked certainly sounds intimidating, it should facilitate some pretty good overclocks.

Secondly, we can only see eight (oct?) core processors and quad-core ones, which might mean the hex-cores will make it out later. Either way, we’ll have to wait it out for some official announcements.
