Fastest AMD FX-Series Processor to be Priced at $320

While most manufacturers would charge a premium for their top-of-the-line product, AMD is taking a different approach when their Bulldozer processors release. Accordng to a report, AMD’s fastest 8-core processor from the Bulldozer family will be priced at just $320. This translates to roughly Rs. 14,500, and maybe a little more when they land on Indian shores.

Going aggressive with the pricing with the upcoming Zambezi processors

AMD’s FX-8130P, the fastest processor will be priced at $320 and a slightly slower FX-8110 should be priced at $290. The 8 in the 8xxxx series denotes the 8-cores on it. Six core processors, specifically the FX-6110 will be priced at $240 whereas the four-core FX-4110 will sell for $190. This is based on details provided by a site - Donanim Haber that also claims to have leaked images of the processor. The top of the line processor is set to take on Intel’s Core i7-26xx line of processors.
