Intel has announced a new development partnership with Google, according to a report by BBC UK. This new partnership aims to improve processors for both mobiles, as well as tablets that run on Google’s Android operating system.
Intel and Google to introduce new processors for Android
World’s biggest chipmaker, Intel is aiming to delve deep into the industry’s fastest growing segments – smartphones, with this new partnership. Android is currently one of the world’s leading mobile phone operating systems. In the current scenario, Intel has been beaten by ARM Holdings, as far as better chip production is concerned and this new venture might just give Intel the much needed boost to recapture the mobile phone market.
So, what does this mean for consumers? Well, details might not have been sketched out, but from the available information, it is clear that both Google and Intel plan to give Android users a seamless user experience, providing better performance, and power efficiency.
The post PC-era has brought up a lot of partnerships amongst some of the biggest companies in the world and this new team up in particular might just possess the potential to redefine Android user experience on both tablet and mobile platforms. |
