Fujitsu has announced a new line-up of mobile and desktop workstations from their CELCIUS range targeted at Autodesk 3D design, engineering and entertainment environments. These machines are optimized for Autodesk suites and pack in high-end Intel processors and Nvidia Quadro series graphics cards. This way, designers are able to perform real-time rendering, simulation and complex problem solving more efficiently. The GPU acceleration also comes in handy in video production and 3D CAD applications.

The Fujitsu CELCIUS R570, their flagship offering, packs in not one, but two quad-core Xeon X-5650 Intel processors. There’s 12GB of ECC RAM along with a 256GB SSD and 1TB hard drive combo. The SSD is used as the boot drive and the scratch disk, whereas the other one is used for data storage. Last, but not least, we have an Nvidia Quadro 4000 series graphics card from Nvidia’s professional range. This card packs in 256 CUDA cores for speeding up the rendering process in applications such as 3D CAD. All the systems come with Windows 7 Professional edition.

If you want something more mobile, then the H910 is Fujitsu’s flagship notebook. It packs in a Core i7-2820QM Sandy Bridge processor with vPro technology. It also features 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and an Nvidia 3000M series Quadro graphics card with 240 CUDA cores. The notebook also comes with a 17.3-inch display so there’s plenty of room to work with.
