Zapak Corporate Gamer Winners Announced

22 Mar, 2008, 10:35 am IST | by Avinash Bali | Desktops

As most of you already (so did not) know, Zapak’s been hosting a Corporate Gaming Championship since the past couple of weeks and today were the finals held at Hard Rock Café, Mumbai. Unlike most tournaments that concentrate solely on shooters and racers, casual games such as Zuma, Bejeweled 2 and Heavy Weapon were present here as well.

Unfortunately for Zapak the turnout definitely wasn’t what they expected and for some reason, the comperes felt the need to compensate for the lack of crowd (and not to mention enthusiasm) by screaming their lungs out every few seconds giving both Nik and me a severe headache (which is a feat in itself since both of us have a high tolerance for pain).

Either way, here’s the list of winners in case anyone’s interested:
  • Zuma: Deenu Abhishek, Bangalore
  • Bejeweled Deluxe: Deenu Abhishek, Bangalore
  • Heavy Weapon: Anshul Maheshwary, Delhi
  • FIFA ‘07: Surendra Singh, Bangalore
  • NFS – Most Wanted: Jimmy, Mumbai
  • Counter Strike: Live2Own, Mumbai
