You walk into a room with a drink in your hand, and set it down on a table. That when you see the host of the party running towards you in slow motion saying ‘Noooooo!’ You’ve just put your drink on his precious iPod dock that looks just like any other surface. This awesome looking product is called Hohrizontal 51, and is definitely one of the coolest iPod/iPhone docking systems I have ever seen. In fact, the parent company, Finite Elemente actually specialises in making ‘audio furniture’. Pretty neat, huh? A really cool iPod/iPhone dock The cool thing about this dock is that it actually can be used as a normal surface to keep stuff on. It can also be connected to your computer or TV so you can watch movies and videos. Also a really expensive shelf! Check out some of the technical specifications Frequency range: 50 – 25.000 Hz (-6 dB) Output power: 2 x 25 W (incl. overload protection) Electrical connection: 100 – 240 V (50/60 Hz) Inputs: 30-pin-dock for iPod/iPhone, Line-In, USB audio Outputs: Composite video Load-bearing capacity: 10-25 kg (depending on the condition of the wall) Dimensions / Weight: W 1000 x D 300 x H 51 mm / 10 kg Application area: All interiors incl. kitchen and bathroom Charging function: all iPod and iPhone models (except iPod 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation and iPod shuffle) This looks like a pretty cool lifestyle product, but at an MRP of Rs. 45,000+VAT, that’s quite an expensive dock. |
