Bharti Airtel, the leading global telecommunications company has recently announced the launch of iKisaan which is the world’s first interactive service that is specially designed in Hindi. The service is targeted at the population residing in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Jharkhand. Airtel claims that this service is a first for rural India. This service by Airtel is powered by Handygo and aggregates information from authentic sources that provide authentic localized information on crop, agri-input prices and information on weather.
