Blu-Ray and HD-DVD Duke it Out in Europe

In yet another episode of format deathmatch, the Blu-Ray association strikes back at HD-DVD promotional group. A few days back the latter claimed that HD-DVDs share of the European market averaged 74% from January to May this year. The Blu-Ray association was quick to bulls**t that claim stating that they didn't count the PS3 and PC Blu-Ray drive sales in their stats, both of which are capable of playing Blu-Ray movies. Needless to say HD-DVD supporters did reply to that — Taking a swipe at the Blu-ray stats that are bolstered by the number of PS3's sold, Steve Nickerson, senior vice president, high definition media at Warner Bros sates:I say there’s only one way to settle this—food fight!!!
