From Home Cinema Choice, we've learnt that Onkyo, the popular mid to high end home theater brand, is going to launch their Blu-ray players this year. It's not that they are late in this market, they were just wrong, 'HD DVD' type wrong. Now with Blu-ray winning Onkyo has changed teams. The new deck will appear 'in late 2008' and will be designed to partner with Onkyo's HD AV receivers equipped with full HDMI processing of 1080p video and decoding of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound. |
