Essar Group's mobile retail chain MobileStore on Thursday launched its online sales operations.

This would initially serve 11 cities across the country in the first phase before being extended pan-India.

Customers in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Cochin, Ahmedabad and Pune will be able to place orders online in the initial phase. The website will host features like blog, reviews, search a handset with select features, registration, news and also latest offers available at the MobileStore.

"MobileStore would enable its customers to purchase the latest mobile segment without stepping out of their residence or office. Currently, online sale is operational in Mumbai," , said, MobileStore's CEO Rajiv Agarwal.

The MobileStore plans to roll-out 2,500 stores across the country in 600 cities within the next two years.

At present, there are 600 such stores across the country.
