As far as performance is concerned, the SH14 is equipped with a 2.5-inch 5,400 RPM hard drive. According to the company, the device is capable of read rates up to 109.6 MB/s and write rates up to 107.2 MB/s. The HDD comes in two colours - red and black and initial capacities available will be 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB. The drive's exterior is constructed of a silicone structure with a shock-resistant and water-resistant shell. Additionally, those purchasing the ADATA external hard drives will get a free download of the latest Norton Internet Security 2011 antivirus software (60 day trial), a utility backup software called HDDtoGo and a three year product warranty.

The 500GB model will retail for Rs. 3,735, the 750GB for Rs. 4,590 and the 1TB for Rs. 5,940. ADATA's portable hard disks do seem to be amongst the more expensive ones in the market but they include a few protection features and bundled security software that might be beneficial to some users.
