The Toshiba Canvio is available in 500 GB and 1 TB capacities and include an internal drop sensor and ramp loading technology, which helps in keeping your hard drive safe from a fall. The Canvio is also pre-loaded with the ‘NTI Backup Now’ software which scans your computer and recommends the best backup coverage for your system.

In case of a crash, the Canvio allows you to restore files with the touch of a button; it also comes with a utility which allows you to burn a boot CD/DVD. Advanced users can take advantage of a host of features, such as the ability to customize their backup routine, protect data via a 256bit encryption and also change threshold settings.

The Canvio 500GB and 1TB versions will retail for Rs. 7,990 and Rs. 13,790 respectively and carry a three-year warranty.
