Game developer company, Spiel Studios Pvt. Ltd. will soon be releasing the country's first, Indian-centric iPhone game called 'The Sealink', which features our very own Bandra-Worli Sealink. The Sealink will be a 3D racing game, where the player will be able to drive his favourite car on the Mumbai Sea-link. The game has been built completely in-house with collaborative efforts by Indian and International team members. The game uses motion-controlled sensing technology with multi-touch support to give the player complete control of the game. The game has been built using the latest OpenGL ES 2.0 library to give the player the best 3D experience possible on an iPhone. Mohit Sureka, Founder/CEO of Spiel Studios said, "This game will revolutionize the perception of Indian developers and create a new benchmark of quality and performance in the international gaming industry. This is a true example of fusion development, where our Indian team have worked with our international team of programmers to churn a high-quality game for all Indian gaming enthusiasts across the globe." "Though the market in India being proportionally small, there are lakhs of Indians using the device globally who will instantly relate to the game. This may also lure many Indian buyers to buy the iPhone in order to play the game. Secondly, this is a real 3D Racing game which any gamer worldwide would love to own", he added. The game will feature several officially licensed models from Indian and International car makers. The game is scheduled to release in January 2010 on the iPhone and will be distributed through the Apple Apps store worldwide. It will also be developed for PC/Mac and Sony PSP which will be made available early next year. |
