Bethesda's Parent Company Buys id Software

No this is no April Fools Day joke. ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda Softworks, makers of Fallout and Oblivion have bought id Software, the makers of the Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein series. In an interview with gaming blog Kotaku, John Carmack, co-founder of id Software along with Todd Hollenshead CEO of id said that this purchase doesn’t affect the way things work in the organization nor will it affect id’s upcoming games like Rage and Doom 4.
