Devil May Cry on Your iPhone

| by Avinash Bali |

Ever since Capcom handed over the reins of development for the latest Devil May Cry game to developer Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword), it seems Dante has undergone somewhat of a sex change. He looks more like an anorexic Goth who’s stepped out of an Avril Lavigne video than a badass demon slayer. Capcom thankfully are keeping the real DMC alive via an iOS game that will faithfully recreate Devil may Cry 4 for the iPhone and iPod Touch (no iPad love, sorry).

Demon hand FTW!

Devil May Cry4: Refrain, as it’s called, will allow players to battle through ten levels of enemies as Nero, the protagonist from the console version. Like the console version, Nero will wield a large sword (heh), pistols and a Demon Hand for his handheld outing.

There’s no mention of Dante at all which makes us believe you’ll either unlock him or he’ll be a downloadable character at a later date. Devil May Cry 4: Refrain will hit iTunes by the end of this month for $7.

 6.5

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is the only new 10.1-inch Android tablet to launch this year. And with no one to contend against, it is commanding a substantial premium in the market. This is not any run-of-the-mill tablet, though. The care and polish delivered by Sony is simply brilliant as we’ll see in a bit.
