Yesterday, certain mysterious videos showing off what appeared to be a new Ghostbuster game were found floating around on Youtube.com, but there was no confirmation whether it was a mere tech demo of sorts or footage of a Ghostbuster game. Now, thanks to www.ign.com, we get word that a Ghostbuster game for next gen consoles (not too sure of a PS3 version) is in the pipeline, but the bad news is that the game is on hold due to certain licensing issues and here's what developer ZootFly's CEO, Bostjan Troha told IGN, "We are very glad to see the overwhelming response to the Ghostbusters prototype movies. What you've seen is indeed in-game footage of early prototypes on the Xbox 360, running on ZootFly's proprietary engine. Due to licensing issues, further development of the Ghostbusters game hit a bump on the road. But everybody here at ZootFly is working actively on resolving the challenges with the owners of the Ghostbusters IP." |
