There's something strange in the neighborhood. Who you gonna call? No it's not the cops...or Batman...it's the Ghostbusters. Announced a while back as the remake to 1984's cult hit of the same name, Ghostbusters, the game will release on nearly every platform out there in June 2009 and will allow players to "chase, attack, and catch ghosts in a funny and frightening battle to save New York from its latest supernatural plague." The next gen versions of the game (PC, Xbox360 and PS3) are being developed by Terminal Reality (BloodRayne) while developer Red Fly will take care of the Wii, Nintendo DS and PS2 version. Since the official site isn't up yet you'll have to quench your curiosity with the press release: Authentic Ghostbusters Experience: The game features the voices and in-game likenesses of Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson in an original story penned by the writers of the original films Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis Unique gameplay: Experience unique ghost hunting, wrangling and trapping with upgradeable weapons in widely destructible environments and large scale boss fights All New Storyline: Set two years after Ghostbusters II, the game will feature an all new storyline as the player battles and captures well-loved and brand new ghosts throughout New York. |
