Think of video games and you tend to think of spotty, sweaty, teenage boys munching crisps and drinking pop. Think again, University of Queensland researcher Frank Alpert said. The stereotypical gamer is a young adult and just as likely to be female as male. "Many people picture a teenage boy hunched over a console game and shooting, slashing or punching whatever he meets on screen," Associate Professor Alpert told Australia's AAP news agency. "In reality the entertainment software industry is quite diverse demographically." Another landmark finding: most popular games are non-violent, with the best-selling title of all time being "The Sims" - a game for all the family that has no blood and gore at all. |

It's quite short and it doesn't have any sort of versus multiplayer but The Darkness II is a polished and brutal shooter you should definitely check out, especially if you like ripping dudes to shreds.
