It’s a known fact that EA have set their sights on the Call of Duty franchise and are raring to topple over Activision’s modern day shooter. And judging from what we’ve seen in Battlefield 3 so far, they may very well succeed. But EA’s head honcho, John Riccitiello isn’t taking any chances and at a recent press conference in New York, he sanctioned a whopping $100 million towards Battlefield 3's ad campaign, according to Game Informer. You've spent how much now?
Activision will obviously put up a serious fight as their yearly installment of Call of Duty moves toward its year end release. While Battlefield 3 may pose a very serious threat to Call of Duty, I doubt Activision have a lot to worry about considering Black Ops decimated records across all forms of media to become the most profitable form of entertainment – ever! |
