Nintendo DS Gets MP3 player

The cat is finally out of the bag; Nintendo has finally confirmed to site gamesindustry.biz that it does have an MP3 player for the DS in the pipelines for the European market. Nintendo is already selling an MP3 player for the DS in Japan under the name of Play Yan. This is what they plan on shipping to Europe as well; only it won’t have video capabilities. Here’s what a Nintendo spokesperson had to say, “It’s just like the Play Yan, where you insert an SD card into a GBA cart-sized adaptor. That is then inserted into either your DS, DS Lite, GBA SP or GB Micro - turn it on and away you go.” Nintendo hasn’t released an official word (or an official name) till now, but here’s what we know, courtesy of gizmodo.com:
