RAGE is READY!

| by Avinash Bali | Gaming

After being in development for nearly four years now, id Software’s upcoming shooter RAGE is ready for its October release. In a recent interview with Xbox360 magazine, id Software creative director Tim Willits said the game was “basically done” and id were in the process of applying the final layer of polish. His partner in crime, John Carmack is working hard to make sure the console versions of the game can provide gamers with a visually stunning experience as well. The media outlets that had a go at the game recently compared it to Borderlands (obviously) with the polish and flair of an id game. I don’t know about you but in my books, that’s a definite “Hell yeah”!

Another aspect of the game that appeals to me is the fact that it’s nearly fifteen hours long, or so says Tim Willits again. Considering most shooters today are in the five – eight hour category, I’d say this comes as a welcome respite. And this is without the side quests and exploration so you do the math.

RAGE releases for the Xbox360, PS3 and PC by the 8th of October 2011.
