Trine 2 out now

| by Avinash Bali | Gaming

In 2009, an indie game by the name of Trine was released. It was a side-scrolling platformer, but unlike other games in that genre, it was a more satisfying experience thanks to the Havok physics engine that gave this game a very physical quality. Now nearly two years later, developer Frozenbyte has released the sequel on Steam for just $14.99.

Like the first game, you can choose to play as, either a Wizard, a Thief or a Knight, as they "make their way through dangers untold in a fantastical fairytale world". This time around, thankfully, the entire game can be played co-operatively online, a feature that was sorely missing in its predecessor. If online gaming is not your thing, Trine 2 still supports local co-op for up to three players as well. The game is now available for PCs via Steam after which it will hit the PlayStation Network (PSN) by the 20th of December and Xbox Live (XBL), a day later.
