HP Showcases Gadgets of The Future

24 Apr, 2007, 5:15 pm IST | Priyanka Pradhan |

Hewlett-Packard (HP) organized the HP Mobile Innovations Tour, to showcase concepts around the future of mobile communications in India. According to HP, these conceptual creations represent a vision for the 2012 time frame where devices are function-specific and provide an 'always connected' experience.

The showcase includes gadgets such as a personal wireless gateway device in a wearable watch-like form factor. The device acts as the central wireless hub, containing the access technologies or radio to enable a connected environment.

Another concept unveiled at the event is a flexible, portable, personal size display mat that is 'always on' and ready to connect to the wireless hub/watch. A larger mat can be used to access services such as games or content better suited for a larger display.

Also unveiled, was a thin-client device in a tablet form factor that can take on the personality of the user, based on 'personal wireless gateway' information.

HP unveiled a digital wallet that displays up-to-the-moment transactions for a wide variety of personal services such as checking, credit cards, a thin tablet device, a pen device offering multiple options for input and an ultra thin and light notebook.

It's quite short and it doesn't have any sort of versus multiplayer but The Darkness II is a polished and brutal shooter you should definitely check out, especially if you like ripping dudes to shreds.
