Amkette EvoTV launched for Rs. 12,995 (MRP)

Amkette has announced their EvoTV, which it claims is the next big thing in the consumer digital technology space. The EvoTV, which is the first-of-its-kind television-oriented device aims to change how consumers interact with their television screens. The flagship product is based on Google’s Android platform. The EvoTV is priced at an MRP of Rs.12,995, while its street price is Rs. 9,995 with Evo Touch Remote. ![]() The Amkette EvoTV
Some of the pioneering innovations of the EvoTV, include: endless number of customizable views that allow the user to go to what they want to see, with a single click; a remote that houses a mic, so that all conversations on VoIP (like Skype) are free of ambient noise; acceleratometer in the remote that takes game-playing to a new level altogether; integration of the Home Network using DLNA (for media), and content from other media storage devices; and Evo Discover, a dynamic content discovery software that allows consumers to search, and retain video content from sources such as YouTube.
The revolutionary device is powered by twin processors, ARM Cortex A9 and ARM Mali 400 Graphics Processor to deliver an unparalleled experience. EvoTV comes preloaded with basic apps, but users can download more apps from the Android application market – Google Play store. EvoTV comes bundled with a motion sensing remote, the ‘Evo Touch’, which adds to the look and feel of touchscreen. In-built features like ‘Evo Views’ provide one click user interface, and ‘Evo Discover’, an Internet Content Discovery Software. ![]() The Evo Touch Remote

Positioned as a complete family entertainment device, the EvoTV will be available by June end in Delhi (NCR), Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. It is also expected to be available in 40 cities by the end of August 2012.
Conceptualized, researched and designed in India (Bangalore & Delhi) for the world, it took 14 months in the making.
