Anonymous cracks down on child porn website, exposes 1589 active users

Online hacktivist group Anoymous has launched an attack, exposing a large ring of Internet pedophiles that are said to be distributing child pornography. According to a report by the Examiner, on Tuesday, Anonymous hacked into Lolita City. This is a darknet website or a Deep Web that has content that is not indexed by standard search engines. During the hack of Lolita City, the hackers have managed to expose a large ring of pedophiles that are believed to be trading in child pornography.

In a Pastebin release, Anonymous have released the usernames of 1589 active users of Lolita City and have brought to light a deeply disturbing side of the Internet that is virtually unknown to most people. To battle this side of the Internet, Anonymous have started a campaign called #OpDarknet. In a related post on Pastebin, Anonymous states, “The owners and operators at Freedom Hosting are openly supporting child pornography and enabling pedophiles to view innocent children, fueling their issues and putting children at risk of abduction, molestation, rape, and death. For this, Freedom Hosting has been declared #OpDarknet Enemy Number One. By taking down Freedom Hosting, we are eliminating 40+ child pornography websites, among these is Lolita City, one of the largest child pornography websites to date containing more than 100GB of child pornography. We will continue to not only crash Freedom Hosting's server, but any other server we find to contain, promote, or support child pornography.”

They have put down their demands which they say are simple and also go on to demand, “Remove all child pornography content from your servers. Refuse to provide hosting services to any website dealing with child pornography. This statement is not just aimed at Freedom Hosting, but everyone on the internet. It does not matter who you are, if we find you to be hosting, promoting, or supporting child pornography, you will become a target.”

This is some shocking information and by bringing this out in the open, hopefully the whole ring will get cracked down.
