Anonymous India releases blocked sites list, plans peaceful protest

The Indian branch of Anonymous, the hacker group has been in the news over the recent past, regarding the hacking of the official website of the Supreme Court, All India Congress Committee, among others. The hacking was a protest in response to the recent turn of events, wherein the ISP's blocked torrent websites, like ThePirateBay and some others like, Vimeo. It’s clear that many other sites, too have been blocked by several ISPs across India. Anonymous is known to make its announcements on Twitter as well as by posting leaked content into Pastebin, a text dumping site. Pastebin is another one of the several sites being blocked by Indian ISPs. To bring some clarity to the whole matter, Anonymous held a virtual press conference on an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) server this weekend. 

Taking the silent path

The transcripts of the entire chat were posted on the web by a number of news sites, including IBNLive . The chat session was headed by a person, going by the alias BitMentor. Anonymous’ Indian operations over the past week included the hacking of multiple ISPs and managing to extract lists of blocked sites from their servers. Anonymous learnt that it’s not just the few file sharing sites that were blocked, but a whole bunch of other sites. The target ISP in this case happened to be Reliance and the entire list of blocked sites was downloaded from their server. Anonymous agrees that DoT has the power to block sites, but Reliance, as an ISP continues to do so regardless. Apparently, some of these sites were blocked and once the news of them being blocked spread, they were unblocked. Now it seems, those blocks are being implemented again. Links leading to text files containing the list of all the sites and pages blocked have been released. 

Anonymous India has now announced that they want to do a more peaceful protest. The date for this protest is set to be on the 9th of June, less than two weeks from now. The hacker group has asked all those interested to wear a mask, to join in on the protest. It’s too early to say how many people will actually participate in the protest. We’ll have to wait for further updates to see if it’ll be a countrywide protest or if there’s a particular place to meet up.

Just give it a quick check with list that government has and see how many sites and URL's are here without the peoples and governments knowledge. Or did the government of yours really know and kept quite due to the special Corrupt special services that they are running for them. Shhhh.. Before you deny It read more.

When we first hacked into reliance they realised that we had the list and also cause of the media coverge they knew they were in trouble as they themselves knew that they broke the law and the trust of it's customers. When they saw media was knowing this they started unblocking the sites to make it look like they are heroes and reliance did you feel it would be so easy for you to do that and not cross us. Bad Idea. You tried to change our passwords and tried everything you know to stop us. For your information We Dont Even Care If You Have A Password. Every one check this list and see how many sites that has no court order or not even a complaint against them is blocked.
