This hacking by CNAIPIC had been taking place over a span of two years. The report goes on to state that Russian newspaper Izvestia said that they believe that the stolen information are cell phone bills from Russian telecom operator, Beeline. The report goes on to state that although Russian energy majors were the prime target; the CNAIPIC also inadvertently accessed information about the Indian embassy. According to Izvestia, when they contacted the Indian embassy's Counsellor Information Nutan Kapur Mahawar, declined to comment on the matter.
